A Challenging Start
After being discharged from the hospital, Douglas faced significant challenges. He required Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy to regain his mobility and independence. Transitioning back home was daunting, but with the support of The Florida Patient Care Therapy Group, he was determined to take on the challenge.
A Partner in Progress
Douglas was paired with Occupational Therapist Landon Francis, whose dedication and expertise proved invaluable. Together, they worked tirelessly to achieve milestones that once seemed out of reach.
When they began, Douglas needed assistance transferring in and out of his bed and wheelchair. With Landon’s guidance and a customized therapy plan, Douglas made remarkable strides. Over time, he progressed from needing help with basic movements to walking confidently with a cane.
Independence Restored
Today, Douglas can complete his activities of daily living independently—a milestone that brings him immense pride and freedom. From dressing and grooming to navigating his home with ease, he’s regained a sense of control and dignity that once felt distant.
